Problems
Your personal information is not released to anyone under normal circumstances.  An exception to this rule changes at the request, order, etc, of  the government or any other official which  requires any information for legal purposes.

Children
ECSIS has a special section on our site for children.  These are safe areas, however children can wander off to other sites where they may be subjected to things that we don't want our children being.  To insure your child's safety while on the Internet, it is important that you either sit there with your child the entire time they are online or invest in a good program geared towards protection children online.  Our Index page as well as our Kids pages has a banner for Net Nanny, which we highly recommended program.  ECSIS has no objectionable pages on our site where children aren't safe to view, but other sites may have, so it is best to do whatever you can to protect what your children see or hear before they are subjected to anything other than what you as parents want them to.  Chat rooms are a major factor to protect your children against.  They need to know before they ever get on the Internet that first time, not to ever give their name or any other family or personal information to anyone under any circumstance.

Other
ECSIS respects your privacy, however other sites on the Internet may not respect your privacy.  ECSIS has no control over sites where you submit your e-mail address, your name, home address, credit card number, etc.  It is highly important that you exercise caution when submitting your personal information or billing information to any site while on the Internet.  There are a lot of scams being committed on the public every day.
