The Book The Green Mile is Super-Duper

Larry, this is another Stephen King title that I'm gonna talk about here! The new book, which he's writing in a series form, is pretty neat, but of course, how many BAD Stephen King books have you seen!!?? NONE! Part 4 is just about ready to come out on the shelves, and if you haven't gotten a chance to get the other 3 books, get on over to Wal-Mart or your nearest book store and grab them up before somebody else does! You may also want to point your mouse's button to http://greenmile.iconnet.net/freestuff.html This is the site where you can grab the first parts of the Screen Saver! Yeah, you heard right! There is a neato screen saver that goes with each little book.....Put them into the SAME directory, because once the books are all out, so will the screen saver be complete! Each little part of the screen saver will connect with all the other parts to make one really cool new screen saver for you to stare at! Hurry, it's about time for the 4th in the new series, and don't forget to grab up the first 3 editions! It's cool! Don't forget....the screen saver MUST be downloaded into the same area as the one's before! They work together!!!

The Book Stephen King is Super-Duper

Jett, Why do you think Stephen King writes romance novels? Most of his stuff is kinda "gory/science fictiony". Tommyknockers was great! Much better than the movie! I also do not like Texas Chain Saw massacre stuff, but could watch Silence of the Lambs over and over, just because I get into psyche type stuff. I have read at least a hundred Non-fiction murder type books as well. 'Course I am one of those people that will read just about anything you put in front of me. I read the vampire stuff from Ann Rice and it was pretty gross but still amazing.... Later, Jan

The Book Stephen King is Super-Duper

Watch out King fans! Just found out from the man himself that he has 2 New novels coming out in September! "Desperation", written under Stephen King, and "The Regulators" under his alias Richard Bachman! See, that's 2 new ones that we have to look forward to sinking our eyeballs into! Something neato and scary to read just before shutting our eyes to sleep! Something to haunt our dreams and keep our waking minds wondering "what's next?!". Till later! Oh, by the way! I'm gonna put the Stephen King home page on the Cyberjump in just a sec, so just trot on over there and take a snoop at the King's own page!

The Book The Door to December is Outstanding

If you're into Stephen King, check out this book by Dean Koontz. In my opinion, he is a much better writer than Stephen King...just my opinion though. I read The Door to December this weekend, and it was great. The ending wasn't what I expected, but I still liked it a lot. Somebody oughta check it out, and let me know what you think...

The Book In the Night of the 7th Moon is Outstanding

This book is a love story during Romeo& Juliet times. It is written by Victoria Holt and pen name is Phillipa Carr. She is a fantastic writer. If you read any of her books she will take you into another time and you will throughly enjoy them. Been working haven't had alot of time to read lately.

The Book Shakespear is The-Worst

Am I the only one who was forced to read his books when I was going to school. My eyes crossed and the pictures didn't even help. It just didn't make any since to me why they force that kind of torture on students.

The Movie Independence Day is Super-Duper

Has anyone else seen this movie? I enjoyed it very much but I must say it seemed to me to be the 90's version of "War of the Worlds". Even what finallly killed them off was the same (more or less).

The Book Shakespeare is Outstanding

PJS - I think making students read Shakespeare is the Anglo-Saxon version of "Roots". Once you get passed the olde English, (a feat in itself, but one I am sure a person who has mastered the Internet as you have, can do), you will find that most of the plots have already been written by Shakespeare. If you go back even further to Greek Mythology, they were written then too, and so on and so on... I guess they like to drive the point home. Or, it might just be a mind game to make us all feel inferior, who know??

The Book Shakespeare is The-Worst

PJS -- I too cannot figure out why students are made to read stuff that does not make any since to them. Instructors could make read a more current version of the book but they want us to have a better understanding of the literary world i guess. I myself prefer Stephen King, Dean R. Koontz and such. I really get into the science fiction, murder mystery, gory, and unbelievable stuff. I am in full agreement with you about the books the instructors make you read.

The Book anything by John Grisham is Super-Duper

John Grisham writes absorbing books. Don't pick one up unless you are prepared to spend a lot of time reading. You can't put them down. I'd rather read the book first before seeing the movie. I can still enjoy the movie (they're never quite the same). The book is always better and more personal. If I see the movie first then I have trouble reading the book because I know what happens and there aren't too many surprises. Who can read "Gone With the Wind" without visualizing Clark Gable?

I just finished this book today. If you are a Stephen King or Dean Koonce addict , I suggest John Saul if you are current on the other authors books. He also authored The Homing (his most famous).

The Book The Eagle and the Rose

This is a "Remarkable True Story" about one woman's psychic skills and her experience with those "on the other side". If you are a skeptic or if you believe in this ideology, it is an interesting book. If you are definitely against this stuff then don't aggravate yourself by reading this book.

The Book: "The Regulators" is Outstanding

Stephen King lays to rest his alternate/pen-name, Richard Bachman, with this last novel in that name. From now on, he'll be writing under his own name, never no more under Richard Bachman! The Dyersburg Public Library has this book right now, and you need to get on the list! It's centered around a little 8 year old boy that has a being inside him that is trying to recreate the old west days in the town. Murder and mayhem, and a lot of strange stuff goes on and is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat! That's why I haven't been seen on the Internet Chalkboard as much lately! Reading this huge book has kept me occupied! Anyhow, Stephen King fans will love this one! I'm next in line for "Desperation", which is Stephen King's newest,(written as HIMSELF) and I'll be raving about that one next! Pick up the phone and get in line for these two dynamite novels.....hurry up, because you know how popular he is! And 2 releases at once, for all of his fans, is a LOT to "crow" about!

The Movie: Twister is Super-Duper

I absolutly LOVED this movie. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time I was watching it. I even paused it when I had to pee, and I don't usually pause a movie just to go to the bathroom, I just let it run, but I didn't want to miss a second of this movie. If you haven't seen it, go rent it, or better yet, buy it...then you can watch it over and over again...which I know you'll want to...

The Other: Cafe Latte in Dyersburg is Super-Duper

This is the neatest little place. We had a great lunch and the most wonderful coffee today at a really reasonable price. Millette, who owns it, is so much fun. She has plans to expand the business from breakfast and lunch to an evening coffee house too. She is very open to having cyberfans gather and chat over coffee and goodies. Try this cafe for a treat. Pamper yourself.
