Updates for Windows 95
This page was last updated Sunday, October 26, 1997
This page lists the Updates for Windows 95 (most of them). Since Microsoft has seen fit
to turn their OS into "Patch-ware" (release it in patches), it has become increasingly
difficult to stay up-to-date, or even know which "patch-version" of Windows 95 you are
running.
Toward the goal of simplification, this page was created to be a collection point for this "Patch-work-quilt-of-an-OS".
Unless otherwise noted, the updates listed here are for the "Original Release Version of Windows 95".
Windows 95 4.00.950 or 4.00.950a.
Some are for the OSR2 Release Version (4.00.950b) These will be noted as such.
Be sure you know which Release Version you have BEFORE installing these any of these updates.(they are not interchangable)
To identify your Release Version:
Right Click on " My Computer", then left click "Properties". You will see a window that looks like this. Your System Version is listed here.
This isn't a complete list of everything available but I will be adding more as we go along.
