I heard the rumor that Wal-Mart was building a new store several years ago. Also heard they were building a Sams in Dyersburg. I also heard around the same time that Target was looking for property in Dyersburg. Also heard that Disney was going to build a theme park near Memphis.

Concerning Dyer County/Dyersburg: Did anyone else catch that EAS Alert that flashed between 3:30PM and 3:45PM today (7-20-07)? It didn't look like a test, as it said "ALERT ALERT ALERT ALL EMERGENCY..." but that's all I could read since the picture wouldn't stay up. If there's something going on around here, I wanna know about it without having to wait for the "local news" to shut up about Vick or Hilton or Spears.
