We've got a Yamaha + toast and are very happy with it. We've made over 100 CD (mostly data, some music) and have only made 1 or 2 coasters - those were our fault, not the drive's. It needs good SCSI throughput to work properly, so we've got an Adaptec 2930 SCSI card, which I think is 20 Mb throughput. We've also got an older mac clone with only the slow onboard SCSI (4Mb?) - the CDRW is not reliable on that machine. So, if you haven't already I'd recommend getting a good SCSI card with the drive.
