************ FITNESS INFORMATION ************


NAUTILUS:
Members ages 16 and up that have been through an orientation.

FREE WEIGHTS: Members ages 16 and up. Individuals must sign a waiver.    Hndweigh.wmf (1170 bytes)

AEROBICS: Anyone ages 13 and up.

PERSONAL TRAINING: Individuals interested in a personal training program need to contact the Fitness Director for an appointment and overview. Personal training is available to members only for an additional $21 per week. (Maximum of 3 sessions each week)

TEEN FITNESS – "PUMP IT": (Ages 13 – 15) This course is designed to teach teens basic exercise principles. Participants will learn resistance training and proper technique with a thorough orientation to the Y’s Nautilus and free weight equipment. Successful completion of the course will allow use of these areas at designated times.

Medicin.wmf (17086 bytes) FITNESS TESTING: A free opportunity for members to be evaluated on the following: resting heart rate, BP, height/weight, flexibility, body fat %, cardiovascular endurance, muscular strength and muscular endurance. Testing results will be presented with an individualized exercise prescription. See Patrick to make an appointment.

H.O.P.E (Helping Ordinary People Exercise) Not quite ready for an advanced aerobics class? Have you been tempted to try one of our classes but feel uncomfortable stepping into a class filled with people who already know what they are doing? This beginner aerobics class is for anyone who has hope for a healthier lifestyle. This class can certainly serve as a positive motivator.

KARATE: (anyone ages 7 and up) Meets on Thursdays, 7:30 – 8:30PM.  Kirk Chaney is the instructor.

FUN CAMP: (boys & girls ages 5-12) This program operates while students are out of school for teacher workdays and special events. Children are supervised and engaged in a variety of activities. Activities include devotions, games, snacks, movies, fitness and more. Children need to bring a sack lunch and a drink. A minimum of 8 participants is necessary for the program to operate.

Socrply4.wmf (34702 bytes) YOUTH SOCCER: (boys & girls ages 5 – 12) An instructional league that allows participants to learn the basic fundamentals and improve skills while having fun. The YMCA sports philosophy states that everyone will play at least one half of every game and start every other, regardless of skill level or previous experience.

SUMMER DAY CAMP OPPORTUNITIES: (ages 3-12) It’s not too soon to be thinking about planning your child’s summer activities. The YMCA will have registration packets available by March 1. Our program is rich in positive values that will leave an emotional and maturing impact on your child throughout his/her life. YMCA camp is an experience that lasts a lifetime!
