JPEGViewJPEGView, by Aaron Giles, is a quick and handy way of viewing a variety of graphics files in several formats. JPEGView can read the most common file formats, including JPEG, JFIF, GIF, PICT, Windows BMP, and a few others. It can also convert between QuickTime JPEG and JFIF-standard JPEG files.

GIF BuilderGif Builder is a Mac only goodie that allows the user to take any series of pictures (in PICT, TIFF, or GIF format) and "layer" them to create an animated GIF image used on web pages. Will also convert QuickTime movies into animated GIFs. Has excellent docs and lots of helpful tips.
